Jen began practicing yoga at age 13 for physical transformation while spending most summers in Toronto and Minden, Ontario exploring Jui-Jitsu, meditation, and philosophy. As a Certified & Registered Yoga Teacher, CrossFit Level 1, and Thai Massage Therapist, she formally began helping others cultivate their practice in 2016. She is trained in Haṭha, Aṣṭāṅga Vinyasa, Yoga Nidrā, and Advanced Prāṇāyāma. She is truly drawn to daily māntra chanting, japa meditation, and the values of yoga that are practiced on the mat, which are equally as important off the mat.
As a teacher, she hopes to bring awareness, acceptance, and action to the philosophy of yoga which asks that we become better humans for ourselves and our community. Yoga helped her to understand the links between nutrition, sleep hygiene, and mental resilience. It helped her to establish healthy habits that she never thought were achievable. She continues her yoga journey as a dedicated Aṣṭāṅga practitioner and enjoys taking trips to Mother India. When not on the yoga mat, you can find Jen swimming, chanting, playing the piano, and hiking in nature.
